Well, it 'used' to be an 80. Original turbo diesel. Bought it down in Orlando for 500.00 and towed it back to Iowa back in '05. Got totalled last fall. So now it's a donor body from a 72. Gonna swap out the info plates to make them match again though. And honestly, I think that living in the Midwest will give you more problems with the rust than the coast. My 80 was surprisingly rust-free, and had been a southern Scout all it's life.
  2. Thats cool man, all help is much appriciated. I am not sure what unit hes in now. We were roomates in tech school, he was my best bud for a while. I havn't talked to him in forever tho. What year is your scout? I have heard that being close to the ocean can cause some serious rust issues, is that true?

Don't mention it; I've had plenty of help in the past too, so when it's something I can help with, I do my best. Steven Torres though... doesn't ring a bell, but if you knew what unit he belonged to I could probably find him. "Hurbie" (lol) isn't big enough for anyone to get lost on it. I'm actually a supply troop, and work at the 4th AMU. Working on cross training though.
