    Post '73 Scout 345 tune-up specs anyone?

    I need general tune specs for a '73 Scout 345. I found the plug gap (.030) and point gap (.018) but I need timing and dwell. If I've got the wrong plug and point gap, please let me know. Thanks.

    Timing depends on smog laws. For performance, start at about 4 degrees BTDC at 650 rpm. Dwell on any V8 with a single set of points is 30 degrees, and the IH engine is no exception. Factory spec is +/- 2*.

    Time off of number 8 cylinder, not number one.
