    Default '49 Cub restoration

I am currently restoring a 1949 Farmall Cub (my first ever) and have run across a problem. The stearing gear housing unit under the radiator had a crack across the bottom. I took the unit to a welder for repair only to learn that is not a simple matter as welding the parts together. Cutting to the chase, the fix did not work so now I must find another unit. Anyone out there have one for sale or know where I can find one? Thanks

The housing comes in two parts. The upper ones are often cracked and usually be fixed by a welder good at doing cast iron. Try a cylinder head shop.
The bottom is more of a problem. Try salvage yards. Try JP tractors 573-783-7055.
