Default trying to decode my VIN

I have a 1972 Travelette 1210 (I think). The emblems say 1210, the title says 1972, the hose routing diagram in the engine compartment says 1975, and I have an owners manual in the glove box from 1974. I'm trying to find out what tear the truck actually is. I know that the upper radiator hoses I bought for a 1972 with a 392 don't fit. VIN on the title is B13209H266572. Any help? thanx Merril.

The 1210 travelette was made from mid 71 through 73.

The 74 model was 200 in that sized truck, and the engine/transmission sits farther back in the engine compartment. Otherwise, they look almost identical.

You can order a line set ticket from any light line dealer, such as superscoutspecialists.com, binderbooks, or any of several others. I forget who actually has the microfilm anymore. All they need is the VIN.

I believe one of the letters in the VIN indicates the year built, but I no longer have my secret decoder ring. If the sticker matches the VIN number on the outer left front framerail just behind the front spring hanger, then the sticker is accurate, and it's a 1210. Only the number will appear.

Hey thanks for the info. The reason I ask is I'm having a hell of a time geting a upper radiator hose to fit. Looks to me that I have a 1972 engine and truck with a 1974 radiator and possibly a 74 body. I just got the truck running last night after sitting for several years.

Congrats for getting it running. One less IH headed to the crusher. The radiator hoses can be a pain, even for the right engine / radiator combination. I've found by taking a TON of measurements and if possible, the old lines that did fit down to the parts shop, I can go thru the shelves myself and find one that matchs up, even if it's close enough to work, I'll go for it. I've had them match the hose up correctly by measurements twice now, pictures helped out too.

Good luck, worst case, you use the "universal" fit hoses and hope it works.

    Default b162

We are new to the forum and needing help.
I don't know if this is the right place, here goes.
This might sound off the wall but we have a B162 vin #SB64649E.
The vin on the door tag reads 130.3 HP, it is an inline 6 cyl. dually, tanker truck Phillips 66 aircraft fuel hauler. We know nothing about this truck, so all information would be very helpful.
    Thank you
