    Default Flywheel question

I'm about to install a new (used) diesel engine into my Scout. The flywheel from my old engine is in better shape as far as the clutch mating surface is concerned. My question is can I switch flywheels or are they balanced with the crankshaft and have to remain as a set? Thank you, Mark.

your welcome.if it was mine,i'd at least have the flywheel re-surfaced,can save some grief, if ya don't there's a good possibility that you may get a vibration, from it not being true.here they charge $50,at the napa M.shop.if any problem was to comeup, after install,it's kinds hard to beat, especially if you need to pull the trans out again to have it done.more less a small insurance policy on your behalf. BTDT ! jeff
