Default 1972 Scout II - converted to Nissan DIESEL

    **********SOLD ON DECEMBER 17, 2019***********

    1972 International Scout II 4WD
Only approx. 20,000 miles on this diesel engine!! Should last a lifetime.

Converted from gas to the Nissan SD33 (straight-6) naturally aspirated diesel (engine and transmission taken from a late-70s diesel Scout that sat as a project most of its life). Last I calculated, with the diesel engine, it now gets 19 mpg (with the top on) and 16 mpg (top off).
Used as a daily driver a lot of this year, but have to pay for school and must sell this gem. Would love to find it a good home.

Photo album can be viewed here:

Brand new floor boards on both sides. Entire inside is rhino-lined.
Back bench seat is finely upholstered with marine vinyl (UV- and weather-resistant). Front bucket seats are in good shape, taken from another Scout. This Scout is solid! 4WD works, though we haven't used it much.

Will soon need new battery (it's on a trickle charger now, when not being used). Currently, the fuel gauge does not work (we track mileage). Suspension is a bit clanky over big bumps, so it could use a little love there. No radio/speakers, but has spots to insert them. It's a little finnicky electrically, could probably use new wiring harness.
Could use a bit of body work in some spots, but overall is pretty darn good for a truck of its age!

Ready to test drive! Located in Denver, CO.
