Anyone tried these?

Is the vibration damping steering shaft a significant improvement over the rigid version?

I had a rigid Borgeson shaft but found that quite a shock was transmitted to the steering wheel when I hit potholes.

I replaced it with a slip joint shaft 5 or 6 years ago. This worked great! This makes sense since the steering gear is on the frame and the body is mounted on rubber bushes.

Unfortunately, after a lot of time but not a whole lot of miles, the slip shaft has a lot of slop. Obviously it moves or it would not wear. The U joints are still tight and silky smooth, but the slip shaft has more lash than my steering gear.......

If the slip shaft is still available, I can't find it. Will the vibration damping joint take up the movement between body and frame?
