The model number series for the 57 and 58 pickups is A100. The A110 would be a half ton, A120 is a 3/4 ton, and on up through A180.
    L series was 50-52
    R was 53-54
    S was 55-56
    A was 58-58
    The B100 series was 59/60, over/under headlights
The C100 series was 61/62, side by side headlights.
The C1000 (C1100, C1200, etc) series was 63/64. They added a zero. The wheelbase got 5 inches longer around that time.
D1000 was 65. The front grille changed. That's about all.
Then there was another shift, and the letter was moved (gasp!).
1000A series was 66. It looked just like the 65 except the grille had minor differences that nobody would really notice unless they were side by side.
1000B was in 67, and the braking system was improved.
1000C was in 68, and the power steering system was improved, side marker lights were added, and the hood emblem disappeared.

Does it have the front wrap around windshield ? 1957 was the 50 year anniversary for IHC so they made all the models in 1957 1958 A models it stood for anniversary there was a special edition called the golden anniversary A-100 it had a lot of chrome and two tone paint also the first wrap around front windshield and the first "fleet style" bed 7' x54 1/2" very rare and really cool looking, thats why I asked if it was fleet side. I have a trailer made from a 57 it is the special edition fleet box. post some pics of the truck.

The headlight bezels are unique to the A100 series trucks. Definitely an A.

The half ton trucks had a 5 on 4.5 chrysler lug pattern. The 3/4 ton and 1 ton had a 6 lug pattern. This is an A110 pickup truck, 57 or 58.

Cool truck man, the 57- 58's are some of the rarer pickups around only because they changed them after 2 years. Great score!!
