    Default Ignition scout2 help

    i got a 79 scout2 with prestolite electronic dist. will not start until you let key
    off. voltage drop at coil while starting.where does it pickup current while in start mode? could i use R term at solenoid to boost coil voltage while starting?some gm's used this method.if so how is this best done?i thought this might be easier than alternate methods. any help appreciated! thanks

    Yes install a remote solenoid to solve that problem.
    I am not sure how it is done, as I have never come across this problem in my scout or members scouts, but search on binderplanet.com and you will find tons on how to do it.
