    Default 1942 Farmall B

Anybody have any good ideas about retro-fitting/fabricating a 3-point hitch attachment on my Farmall B, to include a hydraulic pump of some type? Or, should I keep it stock and just get another tractor with a 3-point? Not much $$$ to invest in this, and I need to run a post-hole auger for a large fence project.

Unless you are handy at fabing stuff and figure out how to hook up hydraulics, you are probably better off getting another tractor.

You could adapt hydraulics from a Super A, 100, but that would be a chore.
You could use an auto steering pump and run it off the front of the engine, by putting in a double pulley, making a bracket to hold the pump and run hoses. Yet you would still have to put together the hitch, a cylinder. After market hitches are available, but don't include the hydraulics.

The time involve creating your own or adapting another hitch would problably be more trouble than it is worth. You can always rent a tractor for the day.
