    Default brought scout of storage, trying to bring it back to life!!

    hey guys. just brought my scout of storage after about 2 years. used to be on this forum all the time, i love it! anyway, cant get it to start. ran just fine before i put it in storage. put a new battery in it, new gas, new coolant, and cant get it to start. any suggestions????

    ps. already searched the forums and didnt really find anything to help. also, its a 79 scout II 345 auto

    Make sure that you are getting fire from the coil......and that the new gasx is getting to the carb. Try giving it a shot of starting fluid and see if that helps.

    first thing is does it turn over?

    if yes than check the big 3. Fuel/Air, Spark, and timing.

    if no then check the starter. put a wrench on the bolt on the crankshaft and make sure the motor isnt seized up.

    primed it with some starting fluid. started right up and keeps running. thats what i love about these trucks. dang, i feel stupid for not thinking of that. but, not much of a motorhead. but thanks for the help!!!

    Haha, by having a scout your already like 5 steps ahead of the average person It just comes with the territory
