    Default Scout half truck top

I have a 70 Scout 800a that the PO cut the back half of the top off of. I was wondering if I put a half top/pickup style and bulkhead on it instead of the full top. It appears the bulkheads where bolted in so I think I could just bolt a pickup style half top and a bulkhead and call it good. Is it really that easy?

Yes, if you can find one.

I know where a half cab and bulkhead is in a field, still in the Scout, don't know if the old guy will sell it. I'm into Scout II's, so I'm not interested but I could ask him if he'll sell if you are.. I'm in Oregon...

Is the Scout itself in decent condition?

For the bulkhead one could just use a sheet of metal. Or even in a pinch marine grade plywood that is painted. The mounting surface is flat, no special angles needed.

    Default HAlf top

I got one and a bulkhead I am parting with. Looking to sell them though.

Let me know it is in good shape I can send pics. Getting rid of it because I cut out the side handles on the drivers side to get my long legs in the truck, had to get the seat back a couple inches.
