    Default Ih Engine identification

    I have a 151023R casting number on my block. I would like to find out what V8 it is. If anyone knows or has a way of decoding it, please tell me. thanks zack

    What vehicle is it in? If it is an IH V8, the size should be right next to that number on the pad on the engine. If there is no size, it is most likely a 266. The 304/345/392 sizes would be stamped on there, but I have found some early 266 engines that had no size stamped on them.

    ---It's a 345. Part number 151023R31 has the casting #151023R.
