    Your engine has hydraulic lifters.

The lifters are hydraulic. The primary cause of noisy lifters in an SV engine is cam bearing failure. However, using a crappy oil filter can also cause the same problem, which is low oil pressure in the lifter galley. You should also check to see if the rocker arm stands are properly installed and not over or under torqued. A bad oil pump is also a common culprit.
