You could use this backwards. http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Put in your specs and get an acuurate speed (not using the speedometer) and should be close enough to give you an idea.

Or order a line set ticket.

Or tear it out of there and see gear tooth counts.

    Or anyone else.

Or just put it in first gear and see if it's really, really low geared.

I think you will find that the T19A is the close ratio, and the T19 is the wide ratio. If you have it IN the vehicle, the only way is to pick up the back wheels and turn the engine and count the driveshaft rotation in first gear. 4:1 or 6.3:1

Nearly all of the 4 cylinder came with a close ratio. V8 were mixed more.

The gear ratios or transmission models on the manual transmission are written on the shifter?

Cool. Can you post a picture? I've never seen that before.

not doubt if the trans is close ratio you have a granny gear and you could get out a walk next the thing in first gear.

Photo is from a T-19 wide, to the right and down is reverse.
You sure that's not the part number for the shifter? Both the close and the wide ratio have the same shift pattern. The T18 and T98 have reverse right and forward.
