    Default Dana 300

Is the D300 a bolt up replacement for the D20? Or is it better to rebuild the D20 with the lower gear set?

Provided you have the right bull gear, the bolt patterns are the same provided both came off a IH.

The D300 is a long sought after upgrade to the D20 and can be hard to locate. They are nearly bomb proof and will give you a MUCH better 4wd than a D20.

The D300 has an aluminum case, I believe. Not as sturdy as the D20, but adequate for the purpose.
