    been meaning to ask, my scout has the miro-flare model no 18BF in the engine compartment...was that an added extra from the factory?

    its this, it has reflectors inside and springs attached to a wire that has red flags that can be attached to the wires

    Looks like a PO added road safety kit based on the description.

    Just one possibility.

    IH dealers sold some neat safety reflectors that had an IH embossed on the metal part.
