Thread: Vaccum Bypass?

    Talking Vaccum Bypass?

I may have to put on a new fuel pump, but have a few other things to check before I can tell if it needs to be replaced for sure. So my question is, on my 1965 Scout 80, if I put on an electrical fuel pump do I have to change the windshield wipers to electric or can is there some whay to leave it hooked up so that they will still work properly? I'm new to this and not sure. Thanks.

They didn't work right new, but if you lubricate the air motors, they do work a lot better.

A vacuum pump is what is needed. There is a way to switch to electric motors. I think JC Whitney had some for old jeeps that would work. It can be done. Sorry, don't have the details anymore.
