    Default 345 Intake Torque

I am going to install a 4 barrel intake on my 1978 345. I don't have a manual. Could anyone tell me how many Ft/lbs. to torque the bolts?

I just looked in my manual, and it doesn't say anything about intake torque specs, however it does say All locations except as listed to torque to 35-40 ft lbs. I'm gonna look in the book to see if it says any thing else about the intake specifically.

I couldn't find anything else on torque so I'm wiling to bet that 35-40 ft lbs. is the right torque.

You might have already known this, but as I was looking through one of my manuals it recommends that you retighten the bolts in the intake after 6,000 miles.

    Default 345 Intake Torque

I have a 78 blazer with a 350 and was looking for any suggestions on an intake to will build the best torque. Looks like everything is stock and Im just looking to boost a little more power out of it while keeping some road manners. Of course the manners are always the first thing to go.
